chrystanthemum tea
I made some chrysanthemum tea in my baby bodum this morning. The tea has all sorts of medicinal properties, including the relief of tension headaches and tinnitus. A single flower is potent enough to brew a cup, and it can even be reused. The flavor is subtle to an extreme.
My baby bodum was feeling neglected since I haven't made coffee for over a month. Now it feels a renewed sense of self-worth.

brown suga', i looove ginger and mint tea too! i use strong ginger tea made from fresh ginger to cure just about everything. apparently i'm not supposed to have ginger for a while because its "warming" qualities will interfere with the "cooling" qualities of chrysanthemum...
IG, bodum also has a line of tea presses. my mother uses this one, and it's pretty nice. but i don't have one and it made perfect sense to use my french press to make tea, so i did! i think they're cute, especially when you have different sizes sitting next to each other.
It's very pretty but it wouldn't get me awake in the morning. Tea has to be dark brown with milk and leave tanin stains in the mug. But then it's practically illegal to go through a day this side of the pond without a cuppa so we're more or less weaned on the stuff.
