My erratic internet connection has prevented me from uploading new pics.  However, I found this and a few other untagged pics buried deep in the recesses of my Vox photo library.  I have so many photos that I forget which I've uploaded, and when I don't tag them, there's practically no way for me to find them again.  Kind of like my bookshelves, my closet, and the one meter radius around my desk.

Ping is cuddly, orange, floofy, snorgleable, and patient.

Five things you might not know about Ping

1. Ping's favorite food is pizza.  When he smells pizza, or other cheesy, tomatoey Italian food, he'll jump onto the counter to take his rightful share.  However, if we put a little aside for him in his bowl on the floor, he won't have anything to do with it.
2. Ping was an indoor/outdoor cat for approximately 1.5 years during his youth in China.  He's the only Miao Brother with outdoor experience.
3. When we moved back to the United States with Ping, he became obsessed with canned cat food.  He would hang out by the fridge waiting for more, and if one of us put our hand on the refrigerator door handle, he would jump up and briefly wrap his paws around the top of the handle or around our wrist.  We would thereupon reward him with a snack for his refrigerator trick, until the vet warned us he was becoming too plump.  Years later, he'll still on occasion do his refrigerator trick.
4. Ping has been known to defend his brothers with tooth and claw in times of need, most especially during Bath Time (perhaps this warrants a longer entry).
5. Ping has a little white spot on the top of his head, a reminder of his kittenhood adventure with the inner mechanics of a washing machine (this, too, warrants a longer entry).

1. Ramses loves tuna, especially when Papa Miao mixes it with warm water.  He'll drink the gravy and leave the rest.
2. Ramses is named after Ramses II, who reigned as Pharaoh of Egypt for 66 years.  Technically, Ram is Ramses XII, as he is preceded by eleven Ramseses.
3. Ramses is a California by birth, but he has spent the last 16 years in the Midwest.
4. Ramses was the first to accept Baby Lotus when he joined the Miao Family back in 2000 - his brothers glared, growled, and even hissed, but Ramses gave Lotus a nice little bath.
5. Ramses was the first Miao Brother to use the newfangled cat fountain we got them last summer on the veternarian's recommendation.  He may be elderly, but he's not afraid to try new things.
   

The Miao Bros have been tagged by Aubrey and IslandGirl.  That means over the next few days, each Brother will have a post with five facts that you probably don't know, kind of like >^..^< I cat™'s post.  Oh yes, and somewhere down the line I'll finish the rest of my five facts.  I've not forgotten.

Could I possibly be procrastinating about my vox posts?  That seems impossible, since vox is procrastination.  But I guess the answer is yes.  I still have a deep ambition to break triple digits some month soon (Some people have dreams of finishing their dissertation, I on the other hand...).  There was some suggestion a while back that the Miao Chronicles have "actual content", but it looks like the Professor is on sabbatical and lately I've been drained of words and pretty much everything else.  Perhaps tonight I'll have dreams of vox and then begin my morning with a creative posting spree.
