I need to practice taking whisker photos more, so I can get my camera to focus on all the whiskers, rather than the soft fursies of his cheek...

What's the most drastic change you've ever made to your appearance?

When the Miaos moved to China, Ramses and his brothers (Shulgi, Tumtum, and Willow) moved to the Midwest to stay with Grandmother*, Mama Miao's mama.  Grandmother is a kindhearted and compassionate lady with a lot of experience caring for dogs, but not much kitty-experience.

Imagine the horror Mama and Papa Miao felt when Grandmother told them she had been trimming Ramses' magnificent whiskers!  She wanted to know how often to trim them since they grew so long and so fast.  We're not sure how many times Ramses' got his whiskers trimmed, nor do we have any photos of him in such a state, but it is beyond doubt the most drastic change ever made to Ram's appearance.

Some kitties have giant whiskers and some have fine whiskers.  Some are dense and some are long.  They are all beautiful in their own unique ways.  But more importantly, they are like a third eye or sixth sense for all cats.  So from experience, Ramses can say:

Please don't trim cat whiskers!

And his brothers echo in chorus: May a thousand cat whiskers bloom!
